Panel Upgrades
Your main panel is where every circuit in the building begins, and it's usually the oldest thing in the house. Federal Pacific and Zinsco panels, fuse boxes, 100-amp services feeding a modern all-electric load — these are the jobs that quietly become fire risks.
We replace them with properly sized modern service, coordinate the utility disconnect and reconnect, pull the permit, and meet the inspector.

02 — Lighting
Lighting Design & Install
Lighting is the part of electrical work people actually see every day, so it's worth getting the layout right rather than centering a can in each room and calling it done. We'll plan the spacing, the beam angles and the color temperature with you first.

03 — EV
EV Charger Installation
A Level 2 charger is a dedicated 240-volt circuit, and the details matter: conductor sizing for a continuous load, breaker selection, GFCI requirements, and whether your existing service has the headroom at all. We check the load calculation before quoting, not after.
Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, Grizzl-E, Emporia — whatever unit you've bought, or we'll recommend one.

04 — Backup Power
Whole-Home Generators
Missouri storms take the power out and there's no telling for how long. A standby generator with an automatic transfer switch brings the house back in seconds, whether you're home or three states away.
We handle the pad, the generator set, the transfer switch, and the electrical side of the gas connection — then test it under load before we leave.

05 — Repair
Troubleshooting & Repair
Half the kitchen is dead. A breaker trips every time the dryer runs. Lights dim when the AC kicks on. There's a burning smell and nobody can find it. These are the calls where experience actually saves you money, because the alternative is somebody replacing parts until the symptom goes away.
We trace the fault to its actual cause, show you what we found, and fix it.

06 — New Work
Remodels, Additions & Custom Homes
Kitchens, finished basements, additions, garages and ground-up custom builds. We do rough-in and trim-out on your schedule and coordinate with the framers, HVAC and drywall crews so nobody's waiting on anybody.
Because we also run the low-voltage side, the Cat6, speaker wire and camera runs go in during rough-in — while the walls are still open and it costs a fraction of retrofitting.

Network, cameras & Wi-Fi
Most electricians will run you a Cat6 line and stop there. Bolt has an actual network engineer on the low-voltage side, so the cable gets terminated, tested and configured — and the Wi-Fi problem gets diagnosed instead of blamed on your ISP.
Fiber Runs
Single-mode and multimode fiber between buildings, out to a shop or barn, or up a riser where copper can't reach. Fusion-spliced and light-tested end to end.
Camera Systems
PoE camera systems with an NVR you own outright — no monthly fee, no cloud subscription, no footage living on somebody else's server. Remote viewing set up on your phone before we leave.
Wi-Fi That Reaches
If your signal dies in the basement or the back bedroom, the fix is almost never a bigger router. We survey the space, place wired access points where they belong, and tune the channels and bands properly.
Internet Troubleshooting
Buffering, drops, terrible speeds on a fast plan, a video call that falls apart every afternoon. We find out whether it's your gear, your wiring or genuinely the ISP — and we can tell the difference.
Small Business Networks
Racks, switches, firewalls, VLANs, guest Wi-Fi and POS wiring for shops and offices. The same person who pulls the cable configures the gear it plugs into.

Doing both saves you a trip — and a wall
The cheapest time to run a network cable is while somebody is already in the wall running romex. If you're planning a remodel, a basement finish or a new build, getting the power and the data designed together means one crew, one schedule, and no fishing cable through finished drywall later.

Before you call
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free. For straightforward work you can often get a number over the phone or from a texted photo; anything involving the panel or a remodel is worth an in-person look.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — licensed and carrying liability insurance. We'll provide a certificate on request, and we pull permits on the work that requires them.
How fast can you get out here?
Small repairs are usually within a few days, and we keep room in the schedule for genuine no-power emergencies. Larger jobs get scheduled around your other trades.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Yes. Light commercial — service gear, panel work, tenant build-outs, lighting retrofits and structured cabling for shops, offices and restaurants.
Can you do the network and camera work at the same time as the electrical?
That's the ideal way to do it. Power and data get planned together, run in the same trip, and you're not paying twice for access to the same walls.
